How to add your location to Google Maps

It’s really an experience when you wake up in the morning to know that you are no more a student, its your first day of your first job. The transformation from a student to an employee is similar to the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly. I have had the same experience in this while. That’s the reason I haven’t been able to update my blog.
In this tutorial I’m going to show you how can you add your location to google maps, so it will be listed when someone searches for your location. It is always good to be popular, isn’t it?
Follow the below points to add you location to Google maps:
  2. Enter your location in the searchbox and hit enter. Of course, that location is not in google maps database, so it will ask you to add it to Google maps by saying: Know about this place and want everyone to find it? Add it to Google Maps!
  3. Click  on “Add it to Google Maps!”
  4. Now Google maps will have you enter more information about the location you want to add. In the next screen, enter the name again, choose a category type of location and click next.
  5. Now you have to locate the address you want to Google maps. To do so, search for a landmark nearby your location and locate the marker by dragging it to the right place. Click Next.
  6. In the last step you have to review the location, add addition information and click Save
  7. You will get a greeting from Google maps. Congratulations! Your location has been added.
